A decent ramen place. I've tried only Veggie ramen, but did it a few times (on the locations too). While everything is seems made to be a great ramen, all ingredients are fresh and seems properly made, the ramen itself doesn't taste like 'original' ramen should. It's has very plane (american style) taste. Nothing bad, but taste more like regular vegetable soup. The packaging and delivery time was great though. Since there are no other ramen places around, would order again from them, but just would expect a veggie soup:) Which is not bad, it's just not ramen.

Tampopo is my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood, and has the best ramen I've had in NYC! I've had almost everything on the menu and it's all delicious. When ordering in, it always comes well packed in a microwaveable container. Their homemade ginger ale (available only when eating in) is fantastic, all appetizers are delicious, customer service is great. The spicy miso and curry ramens are particularly delicious. It's a small restaurant and quickly gets crowded, so it can be nice to order in at times.

It seems Tampopo pays attention to customer reviews. I didn't experience any of the problems (late delivery, spilled food) mentioned in previous reviews. In fact, the delivery was 10 minutes early. Containers were clearly labeled, no mess, everything was hot, delivery person had no issues getting to us. We had the classic ramen, with pork, and the miso ramen, with chicken. Generous portion, worthy of the $13 price. Food was delicious, will be ordering again.

Terrific gyoza- excellent- even better than Bon Yagi!!
Very good karaage - bone free! Cooked perfectly
Yalu soba nice - would prefer soba noodles rather than egg but this very good- and the egg worth the price of admission!
Yaki ramen Hakata excellent will def order again
Waiting for the temp to go below 90 degrees for ramen!
Order arrived promptly and everything was HOT!
Excellent food

Their prices and delivery fees have jumped significantly so if you're in the neighborhood it might be better to stop in. However the place is rather small and the food is so good and satisfying that sometimes you just go to take the plunge. What's a few more $ for carb loaded deliciousness?

TL; DR: this restaurant is amazing and is committed to delivering even in the snow.

Tonight is a snowy terrible night- the perfect night for ramen. This restaurant uses Seamless delivery people, so if the delivery is terrible, it is NOT the fault of the restaurant.

We ordered at 8 pm. At 8:30 our delivery guy texted and said dinner was on the way. 9:20, and still no dice. 9:45 and he shows up at the door- the bag feels light. Only one meal (we ordered for two) and my name is definitely not the one on the bag.

When we called, The restaurant already knew of the issue and was trying to rectify it. They apologized profusely and had already made a second dinner to send out once seamless delivery guy got back. They encouraged us to call seamless and complain. Thirty minutes on hold and seamless informs us they wont be delivering, and that they would refund us- like thats doing me a favor. Another 30 minute hold and a $5 credit (theyre no amazon).

During the wait with seamless the restaurant called. Though seamless refuses to deliver- YVETTE IS WALKING IT OVER IN THE SNOW. The restaurant is so committed to delivering our dinner after the apps mistake. Seriously, thats how great this place is.

So, to be clear- seamless: -12 stars. Tampopo Ramen: +47 stars between the meal and the incredible service. Oh, and Yvette gets all the gold stars. Shes the best.

Love the buns-pork the best, chicken is bland.
I liked the fried chicken chunks.
Once I ordered garlic edamame. It was like shoving a spoonful of minced raw Garlic in my mouth. My hand smelled nasty.
What I really hate is the delivery fee-i will order when they have a coupon which balances out that $4.00 fee.

This was the first time I've ordered from Tampopo Ramen, and it won't be the last. Am vegetarian, so ordered the Veggie Miso Ramen with assorted vegetable add-ins. The soup broth was excellent! In fact, the next time I order from Tampopo, I'll be getting TWO orders of Veggie Miso Ramen. It's that good.

Ordered from here for the first time. Great food at a reasonable price. I order the chicken combo lunch special and everything was fresh and tasted sooo good. The tofu salad was melt in your mouth. I just wish they provided more seaweed salad. But other than that, definitely check this place out!

So glad theres an option for good ramen in the neighborhood! Delivery was fast and the packaging was super neat (sometimes hard for ramen). Delicious, hot, quality food - my only critique is that serving size is on the smaller side, but probably for the best anyway! Love this place.
